THE JOURNEY OF SURFACE COFFEE

Surface Coffee was founded by Brandon and Daisy, two passionate coffee enthusiasts with a combined experience of over 15 years in the industry. Their journey began from humble beginnings, with a small coffee business operating from a beachside van. Over time, they scaled this venture into a thriving operation, growing to seven locations and employing over 100 staff members. However, as the business expanded, they learned some tough lessons along the way. After five years of fast-paced growth, Brandon and Daisy made the bold decision to shut down their previous company and return to their roots—focusing on what truly ignites their passion: roasting exceptional coffee, connecting with others, and finding balance in both their personal and professional lives.

With years of hands-on experience in all facets of the coffee world, Brandon and Daisy knew they were ready to create something deeply personal and meaningful. Surface Coffee was born out of this desire to return to what truly mattered: quality, sustainability, and community. With a smaller, close-knit team, they are committed to crafting the perfect cup, building relationships, and sharing their passion for specialty coffee with the world.

The name "Surface Coffee" reflects Brandon and Daisy’s belief in always pushing past the surface to uncover deeper potential—whether it’s in coffee or in life. It’s a reminder to always explore the layers beneath what’s visible, to dig deeper into the flavors, the stories, and the experiences that make each cup of coffee special.
